Just on the north shore of the Middle River – adjacent to Poinsettia Heights – is the Colahatchee Boat Ramp, where you can put in a small boat and cruise the river, the intracoastal waterway and head out to the ocean. Directly across the street is Colahatchee Park, a serene, tranquil setting with a raised boardwalk that takes you over the tropical mangrove swamp and into the park, wherein lies a lovely picnic area and dog park.
